A BRIEF HISTORY

We were founded in May 2005 by a small group of friends (Smex, Westy, Silent and Beast) playing SWAT together then moving to Battlefield 2 in July. Since then we have been active in multiple games and competed in Cybergamer and Bigpond Tourneys for Battlefield, Call of Duty and League of Legends.

In 2013, we updated our website and logo to coincide with the new Battlefield 4 game release. We also had to make changes to our team ‘tag’ due to modern games not supporting special characters. A vote was conducted members decided that for modern games xAUx would be used, with <{AU}> still being used in classic titles.

In 2017 we identified the need to consolidate our communication platforms and provide a captivating user experience for our members and the Australian gaming community. As such, we now use Discord as our primary communication medium and made sweeping changes to our logo and website to ensure we continue to be the leading PC gaming community. In order for uniformity we encourage all current members to display xAUx regardless of the game however veteran casual members can still display <{AU}>.
